VOLUNTEERS CHANGING LIVES
Family Promise of Lima-Allen County is a program that is dedicated to helping children and their families achieve and sustain independence by providing help, hope, and a safe haven as they work to seek suitable employment and housing.
The heart of the program is the volunteers that have focused their mission efforts locally. Participating volunteers provide a nutritious meal in the evenings and mentoring to insure our families that someone cares about them and their circumstance.
If you feel lead to help in any way, we are needing meals for the families, and monetary donations, to continue in our mission to move these families from homelessness, into a place they call Home!

The MealTrain website will be updated with any specific allergies, ages, and family totals. Please understand we do our very best to update any changes immediately, however, as with any family gathering, there are times the unexpected can occur.
Helpful Hints:

Parking is in the backside of the building, and the entrance to the Host Kitchen is the 1st door on the left. (Sign is posted on the door.)

Please call ahead to let staff know when you have arrived and we can greet you and/or help carry items--(419)879-4600

Tables will be set up in the gym upon your arrival--the exception is on Tuesdays due to a pre-scheduled basketball league practice held in the gym every Tuesday.

The Host time is scheduled between 5pm-7pm. However, if you have an activity or craft, a game, or the conversation is flowing, the time can be adjusted a bit, as needed.

Meals and drinks will be yur choice, simple is usually better. You could bring the dinner ready-to-serve, or we could arrange for you to come early and prepare it with the families! We do suggest meals be served between 5-5:30 so the families can plan ahead for their children.

Enjoy the meal with them! Have the families assist with clean-up, too.
