Bev Beery is the owner of Beery Insurance Services which she started almost 40 years ago serving the Lima and surrounding counties in helping businesses and individuals with their medical and ancillary health care insurance needs. She has been involved with Family Promise from it’s inception almost 14 years ago serving in many capacities. Bev serves on several other community and state boards, is a member of Kiwanis and loves to volunteer where she sees a need. She and her husband of 58 years, Dave, have 2 sons with one being her business partner, 2 grandkids with 2 great grandkids on the way.
Bev Beery
Mike VanMeter
Mike Van Meter is a native of Lima, Ohio.
He is currently a Free Lance Marketing Specialist and works with the Town Money Saver which
is a Direct Mail magazine that is distributed all throughout Ohio, and he also works with
Huntington Billboard Company and with Metro Video Productions that owns Television Stations
in Ohio and in Ft. Wayne Indiana.
With over 26 years in Marketing, he has produced several Television shows and has written,
produced and helped put together award winning television commercials for businesses all
throughout Ohio.
Mike attended Shawnee High School in Lima and The Ohio State University and holds a degree
in Education with a minor in Radio and Television Communications.
He enjoys helping people and has worked with several Non-Profits over the years to raise funds
through various events that he has helped plan and participate in.
Mike is married to his wife of almost 30 years, Kathleen Van Meter. They have two children,
Patrick who lives in Virginia and Paige who lives in California.
In Mikes free time he enjoys listening and playing music, cooking and grilling, gardening and he
also enjoys archeology as well.
Jodi McDaniel
I am the host coordinator for Forest Park UMC & also serve on the Board. I have been serving Family Promise since 2012. I have been known to pull out my tambourine & erupt in song with joyous shouts of laughter.
I enjoy volunteering with Family Promise & blessing them every change I get.
John Foster
My wife and I moved to the Lima area in 2008. I am a
United Methodist pastor and have served churches in the Lima,
Bluffton, and Wapakoneta areas. I am currently serving two churches
in Hardin County. Family Promise is a very vital service for the Lima
and Allen County communities. I have been on the Board for only one
year, but have been involved with the ministry for many years. I am
also a board member for several other non profit ministries in Lima.
Rockland McDonald
Born and raised in Lima, OH. Married with 5 kids. I work for a local automotive manufacturer. I love gardening and giving back to the community.
Charlotte Hefner
Charlotte is a Lima native, retired pastor and has served on the Family Promise board for the last several years. She is married to Terry and they have 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren. She enjoys genealogy, quilting and writing.
